Admissions Online

Welcome to St. Francis Xavier School, Acushnet and thank you for your interest.  If you are a new family you may submit an application for admission.  Applications received will be held in a waitlist queue and we will reach out via email as soon as student slots are available to enter into the application process and schedule an interview.

Admissions Guidelines:

Small Wonders/Preschool 3 (PS3) and Preschool 4 (PS4) requirements for admission:

  • Small Wonders/(PS3)-- 2.9 years old by August 30th*
  • Preschool 4 (PS4)--   4.0 years old by August 30th*  

*Preschool students are required to be able to handle their bathroom needs independently prior to enrollment.

Kindergarten requirements for admission:

  • Kindergarten-- 5.0 years old by August 30th

Acceptance criteria:  As a parish school, preference for admission is given to children whose families are active members of St. Francis Xavier Parish and to children who have siblings in St. Francis Xavier School.  Family interviews with our Principal and Pastor may be conducted and letters of recommendation may be requested from your place of worship.

Should you desire more information than is available on our school's website, please Request More Information and our Admissions Office will contact you. Please consider attending our Open House which is typically held on the last Sunday in January each year when re-enrollment opens for the following school year.  We would very much like to meet you and encourage you to tour our school and campus, either at the Open House, or schedule another time to do so.  

How to Apply

We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents the ability to track the status of their child's application. To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Upon account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Once your email address has been verified, log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.  Applications for the following school year will typically be accessible beginning the first week of February.

After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. In addition, you will be able to print the completed application and monitor when the school receives any applicable supplemental forms.

Application Checklist

In order to complete the application process, please complete the checklist items listed below, including submission of all supplemental forms.

Submit completed Online Application

  • You will need to submit the following by uploading in this application or submitting directly to the school:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Baptismal Certificate
    • Most Recent Physical
    • Most Recent Report Card (1-8)
    • Most Recent Standardized Test Scores (1-8)
    • Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation Results, if applicable
    • Parent Questionnaire (All applicants)
    • Teacher Recommendation (Gr. K-8)
  • Once application is submitted, we will review and reach out for you to schedule a family interview with admin
    • Preschool students will be screened on the day of the interview.
    • Students applying for 6-8 are asked to attend the interview.
    • Kindergarten applicants will be invited to a screening day.
    • Students applying for Gr. 1-8 will be asked to schedule a "Spend-a-Day" visit, after the parent interview.

Admissions Status Tracking

After your application is submitted, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school, monitor when the school receives any applicable supplemental forms and, if necessary, reprint the completed application. To view your application status, please use your username and password to access your account.

Families will receive a formal letter via email once the admissions committee makes a decision.

Registration and Enrollment

After receiving acceptance notification, parents will be provided information necessary to complete the enrollment process.
